Midshires Rose Beef Consortium developed Rose Beef in 2009. Their focus is on rearing a new quality beef product, utilising the Holstein bull calf which has become a by-product of the dairy industry. By developing an advanced feeding system Midshires Rose Beef is a
very healthy meat naturally low in fat with good levels of Omega 3. Midshires Rose Beef is committed to ensuring every calf is bred and
reared under the highest systems of welfare.
Heading up the consortium is Nicola Reece who prior to setting up Midshires Rose Beef, was Director of Farmers Fayre, a Midlands-based retail outlet that prides itself on sourcing local and natural produce. Nicola built the business into an sizeable operation and continues to be involved in its management, with the Farmers Fayre shops and website selling Midshires Rose Beef.
With a Diploma in Agriculture from Moreton Morell Agricultural College, Nicola understands the agricultural industry and the importance of utilising local produce and ensuring animal welfare.
